विवरण

The real challenge in reaching Goblin's Retreat isn't beating its boss. It's getting the Curious Coin portal to appear. In Diablo 4 Season 15, Greed is Good gives defeated Treasure Goblins a small chance to open that entrance, so your farming route should create more goblin encounters rather than depend on luck. Players browsing D4 items for their builds should keep that distinction in mind. Strong equipment helps you clear faster, but it doesn't make a rare portal guaranteed. More goblins mean more opportunities.

Build your route around the altars

Start with the Nightmare Dungeon War Plans nodes that feed those encounters. Altar of Avarice turns Horadric Altars into Goblin Altars, which summon Treasure Goblins when activated. Pair it with Horadric Hunter, and defeating 25 Elites reveals another altar. That's the loop worth building around: clear Elite groups, find the altar, then catch the goblins before they escape. Don't spend the whole run chasing scattered enemies while leaving dense packs untouched. Your progress depends on reaching that Elite threshold regularly.

Unlock Greed is Good for portal chances.
Add Altar of Avarice for goblin encounters.
Use Horadric Hunter to reveal more altars.

Give your Elite clears a purpose

Nemesis Bracers make shrines part of the route because activating one summons an Elite pack. In shrine-heavy runs or Escalation Nightmare Dungeons, those extra enemies help you reach Horadric Hunter's requirement sooner. Just make sure your build can handle the added pressure. Mephisto's Evil Power takes the interaction further by giving each Elite kill a chance to reveal a Horadric Altar through the modified node. You aren't simply waiting for another batch of 25 kills anymore. Keep moving between worthwhile fights, but leave yourself enough room to collect drops.

Slow down when the portal opens

Once you enter the Curious Coin portal, the pace should change. The Path of the Coin contains Resplendent Chests, and some won't show on your minimap. Check corners and side spaces instead of sprinting toward the arena. Those chests can hold gem fragments, crafting materials, splinters, gold, and equipment. After spending time getting the entrance to appear, skipping a chest is an easy way to miss part of the reward.

Stay for the chest after Aurox

The Grand Hoard puts you against Aurox, a smaller counterpart to Avarice with familiar attacks and plenty of health. Bring enough sustained damage to finish the encounter comfortably. His drops aren't the whole payoff, either. Break the large chest left in the arena to release another group of Treasure Goblins, then clear the room and check for Treasure Breach Nightmare Dungeon Sigils. If you're comparing D4 items for sale while planning upgrades, keep your actual farming needs in view: reliable Elite clears, survivability, and enough damage to catch fleeing goblins.
