I live out near Dubai Production City and my 2018 Sunny has started making this dull clunk sound when I shift out of park first thing in the morning, kind of like something engaging a second late. It doesn't happen later in the day which is what's confusing me, and the garage near my building said to just monitor it but I'm not great at the whole wait and see approach when it comes to my car. I only drive about 20 minutes to work and back so it's not like I'm doing serious mileage, but the sound is definitely new. A colleague sent me a write up with transmission problems explained for drivers near Dubai Production City and some of it sounded uncomfortably familiar, things like delayed engagement and hard shifts when cold. Before I spend money I'd rather hear from people who've actually had this. Does the morning clunk usually mean the fluid is due or is it more likely something mechanical? I don't want to overreact but I also don't want to ignore it till it strands me.
