A limited partnership (LP) is a business organization which involves at least one limited partner and one general partner. The general partner runs the business and is liable unlimitedly to the business debts but still, limited partners provide capital and are only liable to the extent of their contribution. This structure enables investors to be involved without management roles. The first is in investment, real estate, and film production sectors, where passive investors tend to have low-risk tolerance. LPs would have to fulfil registration and reporting requirements as determined by local business regulations to be recognised as legally.
