Passing through India briefly, on the way to another destination, doesn't require a full visa application. The India e-Transit Visa covers 30 days of validity with double entry, capped at three days per stop. Sightseeing and business activities fall outside its scope. Two exceptions skip the requirement entirely: staying in an airport's transit zone, or remaining aboard a docked ship.
