What Are EN Words?
EN words are words that contain the letters “en” together. In early phonics lessons, children often practise words ending in “-en” as a word family because these words share a similar ending pattern.
Examples of EN words include:
Pen: I have a blue pen.
Hen: The hen lays an egg.
Ten: I can count to ten.
Men: The men are working.
Den: The fox lives in a den.
Den: A bear can rest in its den.
